A Montpellier supporter was arrested this Friday April 26 by the police.

Friday evening, just before the MHSC-Nantes football match, at La Mosson, a Montpellier man aged around thirty was arrested by the police.

He was trying to enter the stadium with a pyrotechnic device and a small knife.

He was taken into custody.

The evening otherwise passed without incident.

Nantes supporters had been banned from traveling by an order from the prefect of Hérault.

A sad precedent

On December 20, fireworks were set off and 85 pyrotechnic devices were lit during the MHSC-OM match, leading to the stoppage of the meeting for several minutes.

Three individuals in possession of pyrotechnic devices were arrested that evening.

On October 8, a firecracker threw injured the opposing goalkeeper during the MHSC-Clermont match, and the match had to be replayed.
