French handball team: after the departure of Erick Mathé, the game of musical chairs continues and Michaël Guigou moves up the ranks

Suite au départ d’Erick Mathé d’entraîneur adjoint de l’équipe de France de handball, la Fédération française a effectué plusieurs changements dans l’organigramme de ses équipes de jeunes et l’ancien joueur du MHB et ambassadeur de l’Usam Nîmes se retrouve promu entraîneur.

The promotion of Yohan Delattre as assistant coach to Guillaume Gille, in place of Erick Mathé who left for MHB, has indeed led to several appointments since Delattre was himself coach of the U21M selection.

Delattre promoted, the former French international Guillaume Joli (118 caps, 346 goals) was appointed coach of the U21M selection in his place. Joli being the coach of the U17Ms, it was necessary to find a replacement for him: it will be the former MHB player and ambassador of Usam Nîmes, Michaël Guigou.

After a few interventions with this U17M team at the end of last season, notably) Nîmes, Guigou is therefore gaining ground and will be assisted by the Alsatian Phillippe Schlatter in his mandate.
