A study to better understand hearing

#OCCITANIE –Let us understand ourselves in the same way when we are a man or a woman, when we are left-handed or right-handed or when we live in the city or the countryside ? These questions and many others will occupy scientists from the CNRS Occitanie over the next four years as part of the EARSCAPE project and a very in-depth study. Researchers will analyze the hearing sensitivity of 2,500 people around the world. For nine months, a team has already collected data from 180 people in Ecuador, representative of different environments (habitat in the Amazon forest, at more than 3,000 m altitude, at 1,800 meters or in the city). In Occitania, the research will rely, from March, on the participation of 150 people. The volunteers will be subjected to various tests. To participate, you must be between 18 and 60 years old, born in the Occitanie region, have both parents born in the Occitanie region or within a 200 km radius of your place of birth. Attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl

#PYRÉNÉES-ORIENTALES – A man was arrested this Thursday by the gendarmes of the Pyrénées-Orientales for an attempted kidnapping of a minor who was waiting for her school bus to go to school.
