GEEP is diversifying and creating a shared employment structure for the private sector

A Clermont, le groupement d'employeurs emplois partagés crée une réplique de sa structure dédiée au secteur privé. Explications…

A move to new premises, larger and brighter, a new attached twin structure to continue its development… hellip; towards the private sector. In Clermont l’Hérault, the GEEP continues to chart its course, with a good cruising speed. In seven and a half years of existence, the 1901 law association has seen its activity increase more than tenfold. Today it has in its ranks some 150 employees and around thirty members (communities, municipalities, associations), mainly based in the Heart of Hérault.

A single employer for several structures

At the helm of the shared employment employer group, director Emmanuelle Ribes explains. "The aim of the group is to create full-time work with several part-time bricks, but based on long-term needs." Example, "almost any structure or business needs a cleaning lady. Either they go through a service company or they hire directly." Except that "legally, you cannot hire a person less than 24 hours per week. It’gets complicated quickly." Case in point, this employee can have the GEEP as s sole employer and do housework  nbsp;among several member structures of the group. A system of shared jobs which can just as easily be transposed to areas as diverse as communication or the supervision of extracurricular activities. And such a useful device for structures which, like many associations, do not have, internally, the capacity or know-how do to be an employer", enlightens Emmanuelle Ribes.

Development towards businesses

Notable developments in this year 2024, "We have created a second group of employers, the GEPP, Group of Employers Partages Professionnels which ;rsquo;addressed to any company, craftsman, merchant…". A replica, in short, of the GEEP which will be able to operate in sectors as varied as administrative services, communication or even handling ;hellip;"We created this second entity for tax and accounting reasons. Geep could also have managed structures subject to VAT, but that would have required us to keep double accounting". To avoid any risk of tax contamination, the partitioning of the two entities secures accounting but will not prevent employees from potentially being employed by these two structures. "An employee can very well wear two hats, two jobs. He can be a delivery person on one side (via the GEPP) and a socio-cultural facilitator on the other (via the GEEP), depending on needs. The objective is also to supplement the working time of employees made available to a group with hours on the other side.

At 53 bis boulevard Gambetta, in Clermont, a dedicated person has been dedicated since the beginning of the year to development towards the private sector. But, with the notable difference of a temp agency: "we operate in associative mode, and, above all, we are really looking to do permanent work because that the need is lasting, but part-time."
