For thirty years, the Lozère gourmande trophies have rewarded artisanal food products every two years. For the 2024 edition, they were unveiled this Monday, May 27, in Mende.

This Monday, May 27, 2024, the presentation of the Lozère gourmande trophies was held, at the events space, in Mende. An anniversary evening, since this competition has been organized by the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Lozère since 1994, that is to say thirty years.

A guarantee of quality

It was an opportunity to thank the work accomplished by all those who have made this organization possible since the beginning, they who were ahead of their time " grasped the challenges of the short circuit, recognized today as an actor in sustainable development", underlined President Florence Vignal. In her speech, she also recalled "the difficult economic situation over the past two years", notably the rise in the price of energy, materials first, the lack of labor. "Some of our craftsmen were very affected, but not sunk."

As proof: 79 companies participated in the competition, ten more than the last time, presenting 314 products, 24 more than the last time. 113 were awarded. Trophies that craftsmen willingly display in their shops, because, for customers, they are a guarantee of quality.

In the bread and pastries category

Trophies: Angiran bakery (Mende), Joël Alpiste bakery-pastry shop (Le Bleymard), le Fournil malénais (La Malène), Chassang bakery (Nasbinals), MG Pâtisserie (Langogne), le Fournil bagnolais (Bagnols-les-Bains), la Fouace d’Oltbrac (Mende).

Finalists: le Chastellois (Chastel-Nouvel), bakery l’Aurore (Rieutort-de-Randon), bakery Du Guesclin (Châteauneuf-de-Randon), le Fournil d&rsquo ;Arnaud (Saint-Étienne-du-Valdonnez), At the singing baker (Le Monastier-Pin-Moriès).

In the charcuterie and cured meats category

Trophies: Tichit butcher shop (Marvejols), Gaec du Mas de la Font (Meyrueis), Folcher butcher shop (Le Pont-de-Montvert), Gaec de Caouné (Hures-la-Parade ), Hôtel de France (Chaudeyrac), l’Art du porc (Les Laubies), Pansier butcher shop (Mende), Paris butcher shop (Chanac), Aubrac charcuterie (Nasbinals), Maison Fages (Langogne ), Rodier breeding (Trélans), Maison Delcros (Les Monts-Verts).

Finalists: Ferme du Bergognon (Altier), Ferme de l’Hom (Fraissinet-de-Fourques), Aux Saveurs d’autre foie (La Tieule), Maison Vignal (Grandrieu) , the Sout des Cévennes (Le Pont-de-Montvert), Maison Goeury-Lèbre (Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole), Maison Boulet (Aumont-Aubrac).

In the cooked specialties category

Trophies: the tripous from Maison Boulet (Aumont-Aubrac), the manouls from the Pansier butcher shop (Mende), the pouteille from the Hôtel du Commerce (La Canourgue ), lentils with duck confit from Gaec de Caouné (Hures-la-Parade).

Finalists: Rodier breeding (Trélans), Aux Saveurs d’autre foie (La Tieule).

In the condiments category

Trophies: blueberry vinegar from Fruits Rouges de la Coste (Saint-Germain-du-Teil), brooms in caper-style vinegar from the Gévaudan organic farm (Saint-Flour-de -Thank you). Finalist: wild garlic vinegar from Maurin Apiculture (Laveyrune).

In the cheese category

Trophies: Gaec Brun (Rieutort-de-Randon), Gaec Ressouche – Le Mazet (Lachamp), Duo Lozère (Chastel-Nouvel), les Cabris du Bès (Arzenc-d’Apcher), Fromagerie des Cévennes (Moissac-Vallée-Française), Gaec N’autre Chemin (Meyrueis).

Finalists: Patrick Carly (Moissac-Vallée-Française).

In the yogurt and white cheese category

Trophy: Duo Lozère (Chastel-Nouvel).
