Winner of a national call for projects, the Lozère department will develop a cycling strategy

The Department has just been awarded the AVELO3 call for projects, a national label, supported by Ademe, and which is aimed at sparsely populated and/or rural areas, between others.

The Department has just been awarded the AVELO3 call for projects, supported by Ademe which is asking the department to implement a strategy for developing bicycle mobility. The AVELO3 call for projects will  allow the department to have additional resources to establish a cycling master plan on a departmental scale, with the aim of securing, promoting and developing the practice of cycling, both for daily travel and for sports and recreational.

An ambitious strategy

New equipment will be put in place quickly, then a more ambitious strategy will be deployed over the longer term. The department is thus strengthening its commitment to deploying solutions to self-driving. The social aspect will also be an integral part of the project. The general public will not be forgotten because cycling remains beneficial for their health on a daily basis.
