Half-yearly maintenance work in the Montjézieu tunnel on the A75 in Lozère

From Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 April 2024, the Massif Central interdepartmental roads directorate will carry out half-yearly maintenance work in the Montjézieu tunnel, on the A75, near La Canourgue. New antennas will also be installed as part of the deployment of the Radio Network of the Future (RRF).

For phase 1, from Tuesday 2 to Wednesday April 3, traffic in the direction of Clermont-Ferrand/Montpellier (north-south) will be switched to the expressway in the direction of Montpellier/Clermont-Ferrand (south-north). It will be carried out in both directions in the eastern tube of the tunnel. The west tube of the tunnel (north/south direction) will be completely closed to traffic.

Speed ​​limited to 50km/h

During phase 2, from Thursday 4 to Friday April 5 , traffic from the south-north direction will be switched to the expressway in the north-south direction. It will be carried out in both directions in the west tube of the tunnel. The eastern tube of the tunnel (south-north direction) will be completely closed to traffic.

The speed will be limited to 50 km/h in the two-way traffic zone as well as in the traffic switching zones from one roadway to the other. The passage of exceptional transport will be prohibited in the work zone for the entire duration of the construction site: in the direction concerned by the work, if the width of the convoy is greater than 3.50 m or if its length is greater than 25 m; in the opposite direction, if the width of the convoy of the convoy is greater than 4.20 m.
