At this age, they are still not sure of anything about their international future. ''We are more into training, education and the management of emotions even if, of course, we cannot put on the Blue jersey and not not try to want to win'', explains the coach of the French U17 boys team, Guillaume Joli, 39 years old, Olympic champion in London, in 2012 .

In the footsteps of the 98 generation of Prandi or Villeminot ?

Would there be, among this 2008-2009 generation, future Elohim Prandi or Kyllian Villeminot, and these 1998 U18 European and U19 world champions ? Too early to say: ''We are also here to evaluate everyone, over two seasons, recalls Joli. There are three profiles: those who are there today but for whom we think that, perhaps, it will be complicated and whose performance must be stabilized. Those who are more or less efficient and who we think can become, perhaps, future good ones. And those who are not ready today but who need this culture to move forward.''
Until July 7, the Bleuets are on training in Nîmes. No stage location among the 18 elements but Isaac Maurice, son of Franck, the former coach of the Green team.

Two matches against Spain in two days, at Beaucaire then at Pablo

The usamist pivot Jordan Fluet (2008) was nevertheless at the first gathering of 20 players, in June in Nantes: ''Our role, on the U17s, is to make the widest possible detection with knowledge of players and personalities so that in U18, the coach Franck Prouff does not have to redo a selection for Euro 2026. ;#39;'
In the Gard, the U17s will play twice against Spain, in a friendly (*): ''We want to go to all territories, it's a bit different from the Maison du handball, in Créteil.''

Friendly matches
