An inmate from the Arles central prison (Bouches-du-Rhône) escaped this Sunday, June 9, 2024 after voting for the European elections.

Prisoner of the central house of Arles, in Bouches-du-Rhône, an inmate fled after his vote for the European elections this Sunday 9 June 2024.

The detainee "benefited from a supervised exit permit" to exercise his civic rights, indicated a prison source, who specifies that he fled "leaving the polling station, when entering the vehicle" supposed to take him back to prison under escort.

Investigation open
