The perpetrator, aged 31, was indicted for aggravated willful violence, following the events which occurred on the night of March 9 to 10, near the L’ Warehouse.
The driver who intentionally hit several people with his car, during the night of Saturday to Sunday March 10, near the L’Entrepôt nightclub in Lattes, was indicted for aggravated voluntary violence and placed in custody. ;under judicial supervision, indicates the public prosecutor of Montpellier, Fabrice Bélargent.
Attempted homicide was not accepted
"The investigating judge did not accept the qualification of attempted voluntary homicide", specifies the representative of the public prosecutor. A judicial investigation under this qualification was initially opened.
During that evening, a fight broke out after a simple collision in the car, while the driver was trying to park. He explained that he had directed his vehicle towards the people who were physically attacking two of his friends.
21 days of ITT for a victim
For their part, people hit by the car claim not to be at the origin of the fight, but on the contrary to have been attacked by the driver, "annoyed" from the start of the altercation.
Among the victims, one of them was subject to 21 days of ITT and was hospitalized in intensive care.
