This Monday evening, in Saint-Gilles, the municipal police tried to stop a driver who was driving at high speed. Chased for 35 km by the police, the driver hit a vehicle of the municipal police of Aigues-Mortes, near the cemetery. Three municipal police officers were slightly injured. The driver was arrested and taken into custody at the gendarmerie. According to our information, a little cocaine was discovered in his car.

The suspect was brought before the Nîmes public prosecutor's office this Wednesday. Initially, the prosecution had planned an appearance on prior admission of guilt (a procedure a little faster than an immediate appearance).
