Le député du Nord Adrien Quatennens s'est exprimé le dimanche 18 février 2024 sur les violences conjugales sur son épouse pour lesquelles il a été condamné.

"I never forgave myself", defends LFI deputy Adrien Quatennens, convicted two years ago for domestic violence, from BFMTV. He had admitted the alleged facts, namely a slap given to his ex-wife. At the time, they were going through a divorce. 

Recognized errors

"I could have made mistakes, I never trivialized them and I recognized them"defended the deputy from the North, ostracized by his party, La France insoumise, for several months in the year of the affair. The elected official also deplored the choice of his words in his defense.

As a reminder, during an interview on the affair, he explained that it was above all "of a personal ordeal". Today, he assures, "this show, this interview, I regret it". 

Throwing in the towel

He states that "many French" wish his "return". To carry out his plan, he claims to be ready to "lead a fight for" himself.
