~6 0~p>It’is the lesson that this Montpellier driver, barely 18 years old, will have to learn, chased by a crew of the municipal police after he had just run a stop sign, this Wednesday, September 3, around 11:30 p.m., in the Hauts-de-Massane district.

He stops then accelerates

After pretending to stop, the accused accelerated again and did not comply with the orders of the officers who had dismounted.

However, after a few hundred meters, he abandoned his car and ran away. Pursued by police officers, he was finally arrested by a second crew that arrived as reinforcements.

In possession of narcotics

During his search, he was found in possession of 10g of cannabis herb and 20g of resin, representing his personal consumption. He was immediately taken into custody.

The investigations established that while the car had not been reported stolen and belonged to his girlfriend, he, on the other hand, was driving without a driver's license.

Already checked a few days before

A detail that he could not ignore since, a few days before, he had already found himself in the same situation while riding a motorbike.

After being taken into custody, he had been released with a summons to appear in court in his pocket. For this new offence, he is this time the subject of a penal order.
