The Montpellier resident was transporting cannabis resin and seven mobile phones. During the search conducted at his home, the police discovered two drones.

Thursday, July 18, at 1:50 a.m., during a traffic stop on Avenue d'El-Alamein, in the Tournezy district of Montpellier, the national police stopped a car driven by a 21-year-old man.

While searching the vehicle, the officers discovered 63 g of cannabis resin, 655 euros in cash and seven mobile phones.

Phone deliveries by drone

So many elements that lead them to conduct a search at his home. There, they get their hands on two drones. The accused will admit that the flying machines are used to make phone deliveries to prisons.

He was brought before the court and released under judicial supervision. He will appear in court next November.
