Soupçonné de plusieurs dizaines de vols à la roulotte dans les parkings souterrains de Marseille, un homme a été interpellé dans un centre de rétention administrative de Perpignan.
He would be behind nearly 92 “trailer thefts”. According to La Provence, the man prowled the underground car parks to pick up the cars. It would have started its activity in mid-April, in the 1st and 2nd arrondissements of Marseille.
Broken windows and stolen goods
Breaking the windows of the vehicles, he then just had to search and collect what he found: coins, any accessories, handbags, well hidden under the seats, … before selling his loot. Gestures that he repeated dozens of times, attracting the attention of law enforcement and security agents.
Arrested in Perpignan
He is quickly found, thanks to DNA traces and video surveillance images. However, it was far from Marseille that he was finally arrested. According to our colleagues, the authorities found him in the Pyrénées-Orientales, in Perpignan, in an administrative detention center and placed him in police custody in Marseille.
