Les pharmaciens ont été avertis ce mercredi 21 février par Bayer : au lieu du comprimé à base de plantes, certaines boîtes pourraient contenir un cachet de "Phenergan 25 mg", un médicament sur ordonnance prescrit comme somnifère.

However, in a tube which is supposed to contain only brown-colored pills, a person found a blue-colored tablet.

It is in fact a tablet of "Phenergan 25 mg", a medication available on prescription prescribed as a sleeping pill, as reported by BFM.

16,000 boxes recalled

Faced with this incident, considered an "isolated case", Bayer laboratories still alerted the pharmacies and the ANSM, the Safety Agency of the medicine. Some 16,000 boxes have been recalled in order to verify that they do not contain a molecule other than those they are supposed to contain.

"Pharmacists are asked to take all measures within their pharmacy to inform patients of this recall", specifies the laboratory.

An open investigation and the incriminated batch

The batch concerned is batch SX2298, the expiry date of which is March 2025. Those concerned should contact their pharmacist or doctor.
