Hérault: Allo Solar wants to open around fifteen stores by 2027 and is revolutionizing the world of photovoltaics

Allo Solar distribue, en ligne, des kits photovoltaïques à monter soi-même. Créée en 2018 à Portiragnes, l’entreprise va ouvrir 15 magasins et une plateforme logistique d’ici 2027.

At the head of Allo Solar, Novak Kusljevic, a lifelong entrepreneur. Shortly after his arrival in France in 2017, he identified a niche in the photovoltaic market. "I had already been working in this sector of activity since 2011. At the same time, this I have been studying the e-commerce model for several years. At the time, online sales of solar panels did not exist or very little existed. This is how Allo Solar was born in 2018", says the founder of the company.

A commitment to energy autonomy

The philosophy of Allo Solar since its creation: the “do it yourself”. The company strives to facilitate access to solar energy through photovoltaic kits that promise autonomy at all levels – from installation to consumption. "At the start, it was difficult. On the one hand, to identify the right products. And on the other hand, to find accessible solutions in terms of price, specifies Novak Kusljevic. Our first customers were isolated sites [Editor's note: not connected to the distribution network]. Then the concept of self-consumption arrived, and with it, new products. From that moment on, everything developed at breakneck speed. And this continues with the increase in energy prices." Proof of this growth: the company records a 100% increase in turnover year after year.

An automated logistics platform in 2025

Today, Allo Solar has around fifty employees and ships four thousand packages each month. The challenges facing the founder: lack of space and meeting shipping deadlines. To cope with this, two years ago he started thinking about automation solutions for order processing. In 2023, during the International Transport Show & of Logistics (SITL), Novak Kusljevic explores robotic innovations and is captivated by the demonstration of a robot capable of moving cabinet doors. Immediately, he envisioned a similar application for handling his solar panels."We have just signed a partnership with the logistician and will begin the construction of our automated logistics platform. It is planned in Bessan for June 2025. Thanks to it, we will be able to prepare an order in just thirty minutes! The other advantage is that we will reduce the arduousness of the most difficult tasks, and thus preserve the health of our preparation teams."

Opening of 15 new stores by 2027

To consolidate its growth, Allo Solar plans to open fifteen stores throughout France. "In our premises in Portiragnes, more and more customers come every day to reassure themselves about our company before placing their order online." To meet this need for proximity among its buyers, the company will open a first test store in Clermont-Ferrand, in May  2024. The following openings will then be sequenced over a period of two years and managed by a new network director recruited for the occasion.
