Mardi soir, une nouvelle opération a été organisée par les agriculteurs en colère, à la Salamane.
A sort of replica of the operation that took place in Clermont, on the evening of January 30, was organized this Tuesday, February 13, in the evening, still in Salamane. Once again, farmers have closed the A75 and set up filter dams targeting foreign products. Foods “taken” in the seedlings then transmitted to charitable associations: An association in Ceyras, the Tous pour un association in Béziers… "And I went to deliver the association Les maraudes 34. Apart from a crate of peppers on which a truck unfortunately ran over, nothing was wasted" ;, assures Arnaud Poitrine, winegrower in Cabrières, affiliated with Rural Coordination.
"We remain mobilized"
On Tuesday, while responses were provided by the government, many farmers, dissatisfied with the progress and the pace of their implementation, intended to maintain the pressure. "The idea was also to obtain an appointment with the prefect of Hérault, François-Xavier Lauch", explains the farmer. Discussions therefore took place this Thursday with the State representative. "We will wait a little, to see how it bounces back, but we remain mobilized", assures the union representative received, with that of the Coordination Rural 34 and "a small delegation, with non-union farmers, a cereal grower and a market gardener, so that everyone can explain their problems in their part."
On the white years
And the winegrower clarified the reasons for this outburst of anger: "When the minister came to Cournonterral (February 2), he announced that we could benefit from emergency aid on harvest leaves from 2018 to 2022. However, 2018 is no longer there. This excludes farmers from the system. This is a bit what re-triggered the mobilization. Especially since we only had a week to complete the files. There, we obtained an extension of this deadline… And we are still asking, as was announced, to have the choice from 2018 to 2022."
