Hérault returns to the Coupe de France Jeunes, the first round of which will take place this weekend.

Les jeunes Héraultais se sont préparés mi-mars sur le tracé de la Coupe de France, à Montpeyroux.

Saturday 30 and Sunday March 31 , the Hérault Valley – departures in Saint-Saturnin and Montpeyroux —, will be the scene of the U15-U17 interregional French Cup with twenty-five teams from the departments of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie. First of four rounds which will qualify five teams for the national final.

"Since then, the young people of that time have grown up well and most of them can be found in the national or even international pelotons"& nbsp;underlines Juan Ferreira, president of the Hérault Cycling Committee who will be at the helm these March 30 and 31 to carry the 1st stage of this Coupe de France on the roads of the Vallée de l’ Hérault. With 25 teams from the departments of Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Four rounds for a final

The opportunity to train them to the demands of the road with two other stages in Landes and Limoges and the 4th on the track, in Tarbes. At the end of these 4 rounds, the 5 best boys and girls teams (the first 30 to arrive on each stage score points) will go to the North for the final.

On the program: Saturday March 30 (1 p.m.), individual time trial of 5.3 km, between Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian and Montpeyroux. Sunday March 31, 9:30 a.m. in Montpeyroux: road event of five laps of 10.6 km (51 km) for women; 2 p.m. for boys – seven laps (72.6 km).

As a committee organizer, CD34 will field a second team whose riders will wear the colors of their club.
