Hiking turns to tragedy: Couple caught in storm, struck twice on mountain outing

Lightning first struck the young man, who was injured and fell several meters, according to the media outlet Blick.

Walkers evacuated

Her friend then alerted the emergency services, but her mobile phone was also struck by lightning. The young woman was slightly injured. The young couple were rescued and airlifted to hospital in Zurich.
