Les établissements privés contestent l'arbitrage rendu par le gouvernement qui accorde une hausse de + 0,3 % aux financements du privé, contre + 4,3 % pour le public.

"On the pricing campaign, we must not panic, decisions are coming. They are complex. My objective is that every euro spent on health is useful for health", declared the Minister of Health Frédéric Valletoux on the occasion of this year's conference. a visit to Montpellier, on March 22, a few days before the arbitration on the pricing of clinics and hospitals.

After several weeks behind schedule, the decisions have been made: + 4.3 % for the financing of public hospitals, + 0, 3% for clinics.

The response from the private sector did not take long: in a press release, the federation of private hospitalization announced "a total strike from June 3. Only, "vital activities such as dialysis" will be ensured.

"The strike will affect 1030 establishments where more than 200 health professionals work, including 40 000 private doctors"< /em>, specifies the FHP which recalls that the private sector "represents 35 % of hospital activity with only 18 % of hospital expenses ;health insurance" and that "40 % of private hospitals" were in deficit in 2023. It will be "60% in 2024" predicted the FHP

"The situation has become untenable, we have no other solution than to go on strike for us to make heard. We cannot remain passive in the face of a decision that endangers our establishments and compromises access to care for our patients", protests Lamine Gharbi from Biter, national president of the FHP.

Also tense with liberal doctors

It is in this context that the conventional negotiations between doctors' unions and health insurance resumed this Thursday, April 4: it is this time to set the price of the consultation, subject to arbitration regulations since the failure of the discussions initiated last winter.
