“I'm not afraid of dying”: after the attack on her parents' house, influencer Maëva Ghennam breaks her silence

The home of influencer Maëva Ghennam, located in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille, was the target of gunfire before being set on fire during the night from Sunday to Monday, while she was there with her mother. She spoke out on social media after the incident.

The front door of Maëva Ghennam's family property was targeted by two assailants armed with a rifle, after shooting at the door, the attackers set fire to it using incendiary devices.

“If I have to die, I will die”

The influencer and her mother were present in the house at the time of the attack, but were not injured. Alerted by their surveillance system, they heard the detonations and saw the flames, before the emergency services quickly intervened to control the fire.

Back in Dubai, where she currently lives, Maëva Ghennam expresses herself on her Snapchat account. “I'm not afraid to die. If I have to die, I will die". The Marseille prosecutor's office has entrusted the investigation to the criminal brigade of the judicial police. 12-gauge shell casings and debris from incendiary devices were found on the property.
