“It is with a heavy heart…”: The Body Shop closed its doors by leaving a little note to its customers

L'enseigne a été mise en liquidation judiciaire. Elle ferme, non sans avoir laissé un petit mot à ses clients. Quelques mots à lire notamment sur la boutique du Polygone, à Montpellier.

We know it, we repeat it, times are tough for business. This is once again the case with the liquidation of The Body Shop on July 17 by the Paris court.

” Bye…”

Placed in recovery in April, the British brand will not have survived. And in recent days, the 70 stores (except three) have gone out of business. This is the case in Montpellier, at the Polygone. Always with the same little note on the front: "Goodbye. It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the closure of our stores. We would like to sincerely thank you for your loyalty and support throughout these years." Almost half a century in fact. 47 years precisely. 

Note, still at the Polygone, the confirmed opening of Hema. The inauguration is set for August 29, in the presence of the Director General France, Stéphane Frenkel.
