Ce mercredi 2 octobre 2024, Kate Middleton a rendu visite à une adolescente atteinte du cancer. La princesse reprend progressivement ses engagements royaux.
Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, has just finished chemotherapy, a treatment she was taking after being diagnosed with cancer. While she has remained discreet since her remission, the Princess of Wales has shared the first photo of herself as part of her royal engagements, alongside a teenager, also sick, reports the Huffington Post.
“They are really nice people”
“It was a pleasure to meet Liz in Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength have inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and your story with us” is the message that can be read on her X account (ex-Twitter) signed with the two initials W & K, for William and Kate.
Liz is a 16-year-old girl battling tumours in her liver and ovaries. The Yorkshire teenager has been invited to Windsor Castle to pursue her passion: photography. The visit was also intended to share his struggle with the couple, according to the British media outlet Daily Mail.

"They are really kind, sincere and loving people. “I'm so happy my family got to experience this,” Liz, who was accompanied by her family to see Kate and William, shared on social media. Note that some of Liz's photos were posted on the couple's accounts.
“The road is long”
“My road to recovery and full recovery is long and I have to continue to take each day as it comes”, said, rather optimistically, Kate Middleton at the beginning of September.
After many months, the Princess of Wales said goodbye to her particularly heavy treatment for her cancer: “I can't tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.” A relief and a new step towards definitive healing.
