“It was lunar”: the man who organized the sex tape blackmail recounts his confrontation with the mayor of Saint-Etienne, Gaël Perdriau

À l’occasion des auditions organisées, mardi 16 et mercredi 17 avril, entre les différents protagonistes de l’affaire du chantage à la sextape à Saint-Étienne, Gilles Rossary-Lenglet s’est confié à France Info sur sa confrontation avec Gaël Perdriau.

On Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 April, confrontations between the main parties involved in the sex tape blackmail affair were organized before the Lyon judges. The objective: to determine the role of each person in the financing, filming and use of the compromising images of Gilles Artigues.

Following his hearing, Gilles Rossary-Lenglet gave an interview to our colleagues from France Info. He recounts his confrontation with Gaël Perdriau, mayor of Saint-Étienne and the main accused in this affair.

"He didn't answer the judges' questions"

The one who admits to having "set up the trap"against Gilles Artigues before telling everything to Médiapart reproaches Gaël Perdriau for his attitude towards the judges: "He did not answer the judges' questions , he gave us speeches. Ironically, I sometimes had the impression of being either in a municipal council meeting or at a political meeting. It’was lunar".

While the mayor of Saint-Étienne still denies any involvement in the affair, Gilles Rossary-Lenglet accuses him of playing a political game: < em>"He wants to run again in 2026, so he prepares a narrative to say that he is a victim".

"I was right to denounce this"

"The behavior of Gaël Perdriau demonstrates that I was right to denounce this because it really shows that he is a little crook", he estimates. He adds that he "is not worthy of being the mayor of ;a city, and even less Saint-Étienne. Next month, new confrontations will take place on this same financial aspect.
