“It’s crazy!” : their flights are diverted due to a breakdown at Marseille airport, a difficult night for these travelers

During the night of Thursday 18 to Friday 19 April, a power outage at Marseille-Provence airport prevented planes from landing between midnight and 2 a.m. in the morning. They were diverted to Nice or Toulouse, causing a certain amount of inconvenience to travelers.

Their journey was not easy. A power outage blocked landings at the Marseille-Provence airport from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Thursday night. ;nbsp;18 to Friday April 19.

Five flights had to be diverted, according to La Provence. Four planes had to land in Nice while a Volotea flight ended in Toulouse at 2 a.m.

"We're exhausted! This is crazy!"

Passengers were forced to wait for long hours before buses to Marseille were available.

 Several passengers on the Volotea flight told our colleagues about the company's lack of communication: "We are exhausted  ! No one from Volotea came to see us, there was no communication. This is crazy!".

Buses were only available from 7:30 a.m. While waiting to be brought back to Marseille, water, mattresses and food were distributed to them.

Some departures were also delayed due to the outage.
