Kidnapped for a gambling debt, a Montpellier man flees his captors’ vehicle under the eyes of the police

Âgés de 20 ans, les deux mis en cause ont été interpellés par les policiers de la brigade anticriminalité et placés en garde à vue, ce vendredi 3 mai aux alentours 20 heures.

The Bac police officers from the central police station were in the right place, at the right time, this Friday, May 3, around 8 p.m. Indeed, patrolling in the Prés d’Arènes sector, and more precisely on Avenue de Palavas, they witnessed a mind-blowing scene.

During a slowdown, a young man quickly got out of a utility vehicle and ran away. However, chased by the two occupants of the vehicle, he was caught and beaten.

Fined

It was at that moment that the police burst in and arrested the two suspects, one of whom was quite drunk. They were taken to the station for questioning.

For her part, the victim, slightly injured, explained that she had been forced to get into their vehicle to settle a money debt of 400   ;euro;. Faced with her inability to repay them, they fined her by ordering her to sell cigarettes for them from now on.
