La Grande Conserve, a construction equipment recovery company, celebrates its second anniversary

La structure possède une zone de stockage de plus de 4000 m2. La grande conserve

L’établissement lodévois recupère et revend tout type de matériel de chantier.

You will probably be amazed at the quantity and variety of material stored on the site! Windows, shutters, paving, tiles, plumbing items… Everyone is benefiting. It has now been two years since the association, which has “integration enterprise” approval, opened its doors to the delight of DIY enthusiasts. The materials sold sometimes display prices 50 to 75% cheaper than in stores!

250 tons of equipment for sale

"The principle is simple: recover materials from the building that can still be used, explains Sophie Costeau, director of the establishment. For this, La Grande Conservation goes to construction sites or to companies. Some large famous construction brands, such as Vinci, for their part, bring materials directly to our brand. The aim is to encourage reuse, by reducing the quantity of waste from construction."

For this, a large storage area was created, next to the Lodève recycling center located along the highway. In two years, the establishment has doubled in size, going from 2000 m² at 4000 m². 250 tonnes of equipment are available for sale, to individuals but also professionals. Six people are employed by La Grande Conserve, four of whom are on permanent contracts.

Services by construction professionals

"We also offer deconstruction services, adds Sophie Costeau. This work takes place before the demolition of a building or its renovation. We also carry out small construction, such as sheds." The La grande conserve team is in fact made up of construction professionals with the necessary skills to best highlight the different materials.

But the establishment has not only caught the eye of DIY enthusiasts: the public authorities are also interested in it, since La Grande Conserve has been coordinating since a few months a territorial economic cooperation center bringing together players in the reuse of materials from Eastern Occitanie.
