The Andalusian breeder organized a very serious and interesting bullfight this Sunday for the closing of the Feria de Saint-Martin-de-Crau. Alberto Lamelas, excellent lidiador, cut off a heavy ear. Tibo Garcia delivered a successful faena and Damian Castaño experienced bankruptcy by letting the fifth toro enter the toril alive.

A very powerful Mistral did not discourage aficionados from responding to the invitation of « La Unica » to attend the Saltillo bullfight, the presentation of which was worthy of a first-class arena with strong and particularly armed bullfights. With the exception of the last pupil without an option for Tibo Garcia, everyone kept the tendidos almost full despite the wind and the cold.

Bibs 2 and 3 had unusual class qualities for this type of breeding and the lot of Alberto Lamelas was demanding but the science of the maestro's lidia gave him allowed us to offer two faenas which convinced aficionados.

The Madrilenian opened the bullfight against a very built and armed Saltillo who worked with conviction during his two spikes. Initially short of charge on the right bank and impossible on the left, Lamelas used his technique and his courage to deliver a faena which crescendoed. The second part offered several deep series of derechazos and when the brave gave up his arms, he even allowed himself to draw natural 60~/em> with a lot of effort. rsquo;aplomb. Without a failure with the sword, he would have obtained a first ear.

Facing his second Saltillo, the Spaniard repeated his performance. After three good passes at the pike, the toro willingly attacked Lamelas' muleta but always came out with his head held high. The maestro found the solutions to correct this initial defect and offer several sequences from below with exemplary plasticity even if the Saltillo lacked substance. This time, the sword blow was thunderous and the presidency acceded to the public's request for a trophy.

Best faena of the day for Tibo Garcia

Tibo Garcia demonstrated the extent of his progress and his natural artistic qualities against his first Saltillo. Unattractive during the two initial tercios, the Nîmes began his faena by leading him from below to teach him how to charge. This start brought out all the brave's readiness and combat class.

Four right-handed series and one of naturalshowed the dimension of Tibo Garcia's bullfighter and the public had forgotten that he was facing a breeding group known to be difficult. On the other hand, Damian Castaño will not leave a lasting memory in Provence. Arriving crowned by his performances in Madrid and Bilbao in 2023, he very partially used the remarkable qualities of his first Saltillo by struggling to impose himself with passes from below before failing with the steels.

His last toro was a demanding and he showed himself determined and combative with the muleta although the general impression remained muddled. But the end was a real nightmare with multiple failures with the sword and the descabello to wait for the three notices to sound and see his toro return alive to the toril.
