L’enseigne nonagénaire a définitivement quitté l’Écusson. Midi Libre – codo

The buyer of the historic address at 32, rue Foch justified his departure by problems of accessibility to the city center. But the place will soon be occupied.

Ninety years and then gone. Since the very end of last year, Luminaires Boudard, a historic brand in the city center, has definitively lowered its curtain. The buyer of the business therefore decided, after four years of activity, to transfer it to Castelnau-le-Lez. A move motivated, according to him, by the increasing difficulty in move around the heart of the city.

A departure without fanfare which left this premises of some two hundred square meters orphaned from any commercial occupation. But not for much longer. This one, particularly well located at 32, rue Foch and on the corner with rue de l’Aiguillerie, should soon (within about a month) welcome the Eden Park brand. Which was until now located at number 16 of this same artery. At the foot of a building belonging to the Clemium group (a property dealer and real estate developer), founded ten years ago by Montpellier Jason Maurel. And originally around ten real estate renovations on Clapas.

"A more modern commercial premises
and apartments"

"This building will be subject to major work. We therefore bought back the right to the lease of number 32 to install Eden Park there and the transfer was effective on December 30. As for number 16,  "it was purchased a year ago and will be completely rehabilitated with a slightly more modern commercial premises and apartments,” explains Jason Maurel.

As for the future brand, to be developed on the three hundred square meters of this plateau, « we are in discussions with a major Italian catering brand and a furniture brand but are still in a research phase. But that won't be for several months. The time needed "to bring everything up to standard" and restore all its splendor to this Haussmann-inspired building.
