La gauche est unie pour les élections du 30 juin et du 7 juillet. Ce jeudi soir, insoumis, socialistes, écologistes et communistes ont conclu un programme de gouvernement et des candidatures uniques dans les 577 circonscriptions.
It was not won. The fourth day of the left-wing coalition negotiations which took place yesterday at the environmentalists' headquarters was much more eventful than the previous days. But an agreement was reached. It was the communist Fabien Roussel who came to proclaim it on the BFMTV antenna. It was not quite 9 p.m. when he was able to ensure "that’a government agreement and single candidacies for the 577 constituencies" were recorded by the four main left-wing political groups: LFI, PS, EELV and PCF: "It’is our honor to unite, I am very proud of this agreement".

But the day had been particularly agitated within the left-wing coalition. In particular on the distribution of constituencies. If the large masses had been recorded, each group wanted to win the most easily winnable constituencies. "We had broken down the circos by quality: from the 1st to the 100th best, from 100th to 200th… We applied 30% PS, or 175 circos, on all the tranches", assured a socialist parliamentarian.
Enfin !
L'engagement pris est tenu.

Socialists threaten…
The tension was such that the PS even asked its first federals throughout the country to prepare to present 577 candidates. A threat that will not materialize.
Longue vie au Front populaire !
Lancé, comme une bouteille à la mer, dans la tempête, dimanche soir, le Front populaire a été scellé en 4 jours. Bravo aux partis, à leur direction, aux militants, aux gens pour cette victoire.

The day had also been troubled by the intervention the day before, on the France 2 news by Jean-Luc Mélenchon who said " capable" of being the Prime Minister. However, the leader of the Insoumis remains a foil to the good performance of the coalition. Carole Delga, the president of the Occitanie Region, indicates that among the three non-negotiable points, there is the one on "Jean-Luc Mélenchon will not be Prime Minister".
"For the first time Mélenchon is not at the center of the game"
The figure of another Rebel appears much more consensual in the person of François Ruffin who, to appease the troops. The latter also assured that he felt "capable". A close friend of the latter says that the deputy for the Somme is in great demand, "including among the socialists". And for good reason, many reject the Mélenchon hypothesis. "His attitude also reflects his concern. For the first time in a long time, he is not at the center of the game. If he is not the one who embodies the leadership of the Popular Front, it could be a humiliation for him… hellip; Even more if it works". Moreover, Jean-Luc Mélenchon yesterday declined a televised debate with Gabriel Attal and Jordan Bardella.
"The coming to power of the National Rally is no longer inevitable"
Finally the negotiations were able to resume during the day and the boss of the PCF, Fabien Roussel, took charge of bringing down the rising fever. Not without recognizing "tense discussions on unique applications", because "we have the&rsquo ;objective of winning constituencies. We must choose the best among us and perhaps not the same as in 2022". Those who have "the best anchorage in the territory". According to him, the dialogue is "very frank, sincere".
White smoke finally appeared above the Green headquarters. Details will be given this Friday. Particularly the list of unique applications. Manon Aubry was the first to congratulate: "To the youth who mobilize every evening against the extreme right, I tell you  ;: we are not going to disappoint you". A press release was distributed in the editorial offices which ends with these terms: "From now on, the coming to power of the National Rally is no longer a fatality".
