Legislative elections 2024: Five LFI candidates in nine constituencies for the Popular Front in Hérault

Legislative elections 2024: Five LFI candidates in nine constituencies for the Popular Front in Hérault

Quatre partis, contre trois en 2022, représenteront l'union de la gauche dans l'Hérault. Independant – CHRISTOPHE BARREAU

In Hérault, the majority of the candidates of the Popular Front will be LFI (five constituencies). The PS (two), the PCF (one) and Europe-Ecologie Les Verts (one) complete the cast. This is a greater diversity than in 2022.

We know the distribution of Hérault candidates for the Popular Front, which will represent the left-wing union during the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7.

LFI will be the best represented with five candidates, including the only three left-wing deputies from Hérault: Nathalie Oziol (2nd constituency), Sébastien Rome (4th) and Sylvain Carrière (8th). He will also run in the 5th and 6th constituencies.

Five is, however, two fewer than in 2022, when he won seven of the nine candidates.

The PS, which was not represented in the Nupes two years ago, will have two candidates. He will take over from Europe Ecologie Les Verts (EELV) in the 3rd and from LFI in the 5th.

EELV will represent the Popular Front in the 1st constituency, in place of LFI, while the PCF will once again be a candidate in the 7th.
