An LR deputy from Vosges, candidate for his own succession in the legislative elections, filed a complaint after receiving an anonymous letter threatening him with death.

"You must give up, otherwise we will have your skin, in your castle" (sic), can we read on the missive written in capital letters. This appears to be signed by "a departmental RN commando" but is anonymous, confirmed to AFP Jean-Jacques Gaultier, outgoing deputy for the 4th constituency of Vosges and candidate for re-election, confirming information from Vosges Télévision.

"As good in spelling as in courage", responded the LR MP.  "This shows the true face of some and strengthens my determination not to let France fall into extremes, sink into intimidation, violence and chaos."

He opposed the proposed alliance with the RN

The mail arrived this Saturday, June 15, at the office of the outgoing MP. It had been posted on June 12, "in the middle of the legislative campaign and controversy over the RN", he recalled, specifying that he was opposed to the proposal for an alliance with the RN proposed by Eric Ciotti.

"A complaint has been filed, the documents are under seal, the fingerprints taken", specified Jean-Jacques Gaultier.

"The RN_Vosges is in no way responsible for this writing and obviously condemns these methods and intimidations certainly aimed at harming the RN", reacted to X Sébastien Humbert, departmental delegate of the RN in the Vosges.
