Lens – MHSC: Montpellier ends its season with a convincing draw against Lens

For the 34th and final day of Ligue 1, Montpellier went for a draw at Félix Bollaert against RC Lens, this Sunday, May 19 (2-2).

Lens had done everything to reach Europe: scoring a goal at the start of the match by Wahi and another just before the break. It was without counting on the desire of Michel Der Zakarian and his players to play the championship until the end.

Maamma, for her first start, put Montpellier back on track before Mincarelli, also the author of his first goal in Ligue 1, equalized. Bertaud was saved three times by his posts but the main thing is there: the team without several executives responded and showed character to get back to the score.

Montpellier ends the season in 12th place and will begin in August for a 15th consecutive season in the elite.
