Lindsay Suicide: 'I Have to Do It,' Teen's 'Best Friend' Explains Why She Wrote Her Farewell Letter
|On May 12, Lindsay, 13, committed suicide in Verdin-le-Veil, in Pas-de-Calais, after leaving a letter denouncing the school bullying she had been suffering for months. A letter that was in fact written by her best friend. She testifies.
“Dear parents, if you are reading this letter, it is probably because I have left. I am sorry for having done this but I could not take any more of the insults morning and evening, the mockery, the threats. I can't take it anymore and I want to end it all.”
This heartbreaking farewell letter attributed to young Lindsay, 13 years old, has – as revealed by the graphological expertise relayed by Le Parisien – in fact was written by another teenager. Near BFMTV , the latter explains having written it in February, three months before the teenager committed suicide.
“If it can help us”
“She's my best friend, it was complicated to write that, I had trouble. But I said to myself 'if it's to send her to the academy and then make things happen', I have to do it. If it can help us, help her, I have to do it", she says. "I made her promise me never to do anything stupid."
According to Le Parisien, Lindsay's "best friend" claimed last May on the set of TPMP that she had never heard of this woman's suicidal thoughts last.
The interviews conducted by the investigators have, according to our colleagues, highlighted “an ambiguous friendly relationship” between Lindsay and the one who claims to be her best friend.
According to the witnesses heard, the author of the letter initially attributed to Lindsay “would have suicidal tendencies that she would spread to other middle school girls”. BFMTV indicates that the young girl and her family had to move because of the harassment she was also subjected to.
