Students from ESJ pro, in collaboration with France Bleu Gard-Lozère, are working on the theme "Europe and rurality".

All week long, seven second-year students at the Montpellier School of Journalism (ESJ Pro) have Lozère as their field of investigation, with Espace Lozère base camp, in Mende. They participate, as part of their training, in a week of immersion in collaboration with France Bleu Gard-Lozère.

From Massegros to Saint-Chély

It’s Saïd Makhloufi, journalist for this radio station in Lozère, who accompanies them. The theme of the week: Europe and rurality. "What role does Europe play in rural areas ? This is the question that reporting must answer&amp ;quot;, summarizes the journalist.

Agriculture, health, solidarity, economy… The areas covered are numerous. Journalism students will be interested, for example, in the Massegros cheese factory, the ArcelorMittal factory in Saint-Chély-d’Apcher or the Piencourt residence in Mende. "The idea is that they live a week at the pace of a general editorial office&quot ;, explains Saïd Makhloufi.

The reports are broadcast every day of the week on the France Bleu Gard-Lozère channels, in the morning (6 a.m.-9 a.m.).
