Le yacht de 80 mètres Malia est présenté comme un véritable hôtel flottant, proposant des vacances ultra-luxueuses en Méditerranée. Seuls les plus riches pourront y avoir accès.

The superyacht Malia, almost 80 meters long, was sold in 2023 for $120 million. If you want to spend a vacation aboard this luxurious boat, you will have to pay the "modest" sum of around €1.2 million for a week's cruise on the French Riviera, according to CNBC Travel, spotted by Belgian media outlet Blick.

For this price, Malia takes guests on stunning tours of the Mediterranean, from Monaco to the Italian Riviera, via Sardinia and the Maddalena Islands, with stops in iconic French cities like Saint-Tropez.

Which clients?

The yacht can accommodate up to twelve guests in eight bedrooms, including a master suite, all with luxurious en suite bathrooms. Guests are typically North Americans, Europeans and Middle Easterners.

“Floating Hotel”

“The rooms are comparable to hotel rooms. It doesn't feel like you're on a yacht,”60~/em> said Sacha Williams, global marketing director at Northrop & Johnson, Malia's broker. It's like you're on a floating hotel,", CNBC Travel reports.

Malia also has a gym and spa, the latter of which includes a massage room, sauna and Turkish hammam. On the main deck is an infinity pool. A glass-bottomed hot tub and an open-air theater complete the picture.

For a family vacation

A portion of the charter fee goes toward paying the 21-member crew, which includes a captain, engineering and hospitality teams, and several chefs. Some of them will never be seen by guests, tasked with ensuring their safety, the channel points out.

Many guests charter the yacht for a family vacation. "They may be celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, or simply a family reunion. “On a yacht the size of Malia, you can accommodate grandparents, parents and children,” Sacha Williams, marketing director for the company that charters the luxury yacht, told CNBC Travel.
