MHB handball players still looking for a first success, fall by one goal to Cannes

En Nationale 1 féminine (4e j.), samedi soir, le MHB subit une défaite frustrante face à Cannes dans sa salle de Spinosi.

It was the visitors who took control of the game, taking advantage of small errors by the Montpellier players (2-4, 9th). Martin and Povillon with a nice lob allowed the Hérault players to get back into the game even though they were numerically inferior (6-6, 17th). A short moment of uncertainty for both teams who lost a lot of balls. Arino grabbed the ball and threw a counter to Martin who mystified the goalkeeper (8-8, 24th). Hassanaly had the good idea to score her third goal of the evening to get back in front (11-10, 27th).
The second period was more spectacular than the previous one, with Trauchessec making a long assist for Povillon (17-15, 38th).
The Montpellier players continued to lead in this match that remained undecided with a slight two-goal lead. The Cannes players then struck a major blow by managing to score three times and get in front before money time (19-21, 48th) and then increase their lead in the process (21-24, 54th).
A suspenseful end to the match, the Montpellier players did not let go, they had possession of the ball in the last ten seconds of the match with the aim of obtaining a draw, in vain (24-25). Despite Trauchessec's eleven saves, the home victory is still in sight.
