Led by government services in partnership with the SNCF, this project aims to implement the “Traveler and Citizen” prevention program at the local level.

Reacting in the event of a problem, respecting signals, safety distances, understanding air movement, braking distances… As part of the international road safety day at level crossings, students from the Jeanne-d'Arc college in Millau were able to attend an awareness-raising operation on safety around level crossings.

In France, there are 15,000 level crossings. Each year, around a hundred collisions result in the death of 15 to 30 people. In Aveyron, there are 126 level crossings and 32 are located on departmental roads. The town of Millau has 6 passages, including one near the Sacré-Cœur school.

Supported by government services and co-organized with the SNCF, this project aims to implement at the local level the “Traveler and Citizen” prevention program, which was the subject of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of National Education and the SNCF. A multimedia and interactive prevention program is based on experiential learning.
