Montpellier's Anastasiia Kirpichnikova, French champion in the 400m freestyle

On the first day of the French Championships organized in Chartres, the 3MUC member sparked. She is also qualified for the Olympics.

Sixteen swimmers from Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole (3MUC) have been participating since Sunday morning in the French qualifying swimming championships for the Olympic Games. This is a record. And it’s off to a strong start for the Hérault club!

Anastasiia Kirpichnikova opened the medal count in the 400m freestyle by winning after an impressive single jump.

Trained in Martigues by Philippe Lucas but still a member of 3MUC, the young woman, 23 years old, born Russian and naturalized French since April  2023,  achieves the minimum requirements for the Olympics .
