More than 600 job seekers took part in the Polygone Béziers Poly’job

This Thursday, October 17, in the premises of the Polygone bowling alley, 625 job seekers applied for the Poly’job, organized by France Travail, in collaboration with the shopping center. Around 80 job offers were available.

Defying a grey sky that couldn't be more drizzly, this Thursday, October 17th in the middle of the morning, many people were queuing in front of the Polygone bowling alley in Béziers. A queue that stretched for several dozen meters: the third edition of Poly’job, organized by France Travail, in collaboration with Polygone, attracted 625 job seekers looking for one of the 80 jobs offered in the shopping center. These were mainly offers in the retail and catering sectors.

A dozen advisors to guide candidates

A dozen advisors from France Travail were on deck to inform and guide candidates who had joined Poly’job, but also to explain to them "how to access job offers from France Travail, explains Anne-Marie Ferrandez, director of the France Travail agency in Béziers Courondelle. This allows us to meet people who don't come to our agencies."

"Flash interviews"

A center focused on digital, another on orientation, a third bringing together several training centers and offering, among other things, apprenticeships and work-study programs (Gretta, dental school, Afpa, Purple campus, Ruffel school, Sup exup)… Everything was done to ensure that job seekers, most of whom had been referred in advance by France Travail, found a job: “There were so many people that there were flash interviews with candidates, but despite this, we had to finish at 12:30 p.m. and we finished at 1 p.m., rejoices Anne-Marie Ferrandez. Even in the shops that received candidates, there was a queue.”
