In Alès, bodily accidents are clearly decreasing. "We had around fifty, a drop of 10%. In 2022, there were seven deaths on the roads, compared to just one in 2023. However, road offenses are increasing by around 12%. We have around a hundred cases of excessive alcohol consumption, and around fifty under drugs. That's half. The increase is spectacular, previously it was only a third of driving offenses. It seems that smoking joints while driving is no longer a problem."

With around thirty cases, refusals to comply remain stable, as do driving license defects (nearly 200).

As a result of today's operation, around a hundred vehicles were checked. Four major offenses were noted including driving under drugs, one under the influence of alcohol, lack of driving license and excessive speed in town, namely 95 km/h instead of 50 .
