Murder of Abdelkader at Mas-de-Mingue in Nîmes, seven accused are sentenced to sentences of 6 years to 30 years in prison

Ambiance tendue, ce mercredi 3 juillet, dans la soirée, lors du verdict rendu par la cour d’assises du Gard. Sept des neuf accusés ont été condamnés pour association de malfaiteurs à des peines de 6 ans à 30 ans de prison.

Seven defendants were sentenced this Wednesday evening by the Gard Assize Court to sentences of 6 years to 30 years in prison, for criminal conspiracy, after the murder of Abdelkader, 17, on January 25, 2021 at Mas de Mingue in Nîmes.
Yanis Marc is sentenced to 6 years in prison; Ismaël Alidi, to 8 years in prison for criminal conspiracy (and is acquitted of murder); Michaël Doisnard to 8 years in prison; Karim El Malouani to 10 years in prison; Zakaria Abbadi, to 10 years in prison; Iliès Moussa to 18 years in prison; Karim Boudouch to 30 years in prison.

Two acknowledgments

Two of the accused were completely exonerated and benefited from an acquittal or (and) acquittal: Isayas Soumail and Redouan Bourich.
The jurors retired at 9:15 a.m. this Wednesday morning to render their decision. Late in the evening, around 8 p.m., the president of the Gard Assize Court delivered her verdict. « This decision partially satisfies the victim's family », comments, in all sobriety, Dounia Hamchouch, the lawyer who has been supporting her since the start of the investigation, the victim's father and some of the members of his family.

Cries, shoving, threats

An attentive and nervous crowd was present when the decisions were rendered. But the atmosphere quickly became stormy and hostile after the verdict.
As soon as the hearing ended, young people came to blows. If the police were able to evacuate part of the crowd outside the courthouse, the Salle des Pas Perdus was the scene of jostling between young women, tears and nervous breakdowns. Courthouse security personnel also had to intervene. Once; a precarious calm returned, some of the families were evacuated by the police through a door located at the rear of the courthouse. « There are some who are condemned for nothing, screams and protests, a young woman talking about one of the condemned. He did nothing. Others ran away. » The night was going to be difficult in the Mas-de-Mingue and Chemin-Bas neighborhoods.
