National: new disillusionment for Nîmes which loses at home to Versailles

Mexique doit guider Nîmes vers le maintien. Midi Libre – MiKAEL ANISSET

For this 29th day of National, Nîmes Olympique lost to Versailles 78 at the Antonins stadium, this Friday April 12 (0-1).

For his first match at the head of Nîmes, Adil Hermach had urged the fighting spirit "of Nîmes". His players played well, performing numerous combinations and high pressing which allowed them to come close to the Versailles goals on numerous occasions but the Crocos never made a dangerous shot.

This is the great problem of Nîmes this season, being efficient and killer in front of goal. Penultimate attack of the National (28 goals in 29 matches), NO will have paid once again for its lack of skill and sharpness in the last 20 meters.

Versailles came out of its shell in the second half and pushed a little, hitting the post before taking advantage of an effort to kill the match 5 minutes from time.

Nîmes is only two points behind the non-relegation leader but the offensive deficiencies mean that it is difficult this evening to see the light at the end of the tunnel to get out of this series of 5 matches without victory.

A match to relive here:
