Near Alès, 726 people ran against cancer

This Sunday, February 18 in Saint-Jean-du-Pin, the Les Amazones association organized its annual trail for the fifth time. The objective of this race open to all is to raise funds to finance natural hair wigs.

It was not only the sun and good humor that were present at the fifth edition of the Amazones trail, this Sunday, February 18, but the world of participants too!

"A record", according to the organizers, particularly for the 10 km race which brought together 184 participants.

Three racing circuits

As a reminder, this sporting event offers three circuits: two races of 17 and 10 km, and an 8 km walk, the profits from registration of which will finance wigs for cancer patients.

In total, around 800 people, coming with family, friends, or… hellip; with their dogs, responded to the call."We come to have fun! The weather is nice, we help people, and it’s always nice to meet up with friends in the open air", Florian rejoiced.

Others came to encourage their loved ones during the races, and participated in the cause by eating out, or by purchasing accessories such as scarves and T-shirts put on sale by the ;association.

In total, 4000€ were harvested.
