New director at Nîmes University Hospital: Frédéric Rimattei appointed by decree of March 26

Frédéric Rimattei, nommé directeur du CHU de Nîmes.

Pressentie depuis plusieurs jours, sa nomination est désormais officielle.

"By decree of the President of the Republic dated March 26, 2024, Mr. Frédéric Rimattei, director of an exceptional class hospital, is appointed general director of the Nîmes university hospital center ."

It’s now official, Frédéric Rimattei is officially appointed director of the Nîmes University Hospital by decree of the President of the Republic published in the Official Journal this Wednesday, March 27. He is currently deputy general director of the Rennes university hospital center since 2015, but has already held positions in Occitanie near Toulouse or Montpellier.

The decree appeared in the JO on Wednesday March 27.

Nicolas Best, the previous director, indicted for favoritism and passive corruption on procurement and works funds, was seen withdrawing from his functions by presidential decree in November 2023 .

His position was currently held by Eric Dupeyron, interim director, awaiting this new appointment.
