Gilles D’Ettore  affair: Gilles Frey new mayor

#AGDE This Friday, June 7, the Agde municipal council met at the ;opportunity for an exceptional session. Gabian fire: Sdis condemned

#HERAULT Eight years after the Gabian fire, the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of Hérault was sentenced this Friday by the administrative court. He will have to compensate the firefighters who were seriously burned and the family of the one who was killed.

On August 10, 2016, four firefighters working on a forest fire saw their truck surrounded by flames. One of them, aged 24, died from his injuries and two others, aged 28 and 22, were seriously injured. A fourth firefighter, aged 41, was also injured.

The administrative judge of Montpellier thus ordered the Sdis of Hérault to pay them the total sum of 877,358.52 euros, in compensation for the damages suffered. He ruled that the errors in the chain of command, as well as the dilapidated condition of the forest fire tanker (CCF) in which the victims had taken their places, constituted culpable failings.

#PERPIGNAN Sébastien Buisson, founder of the Nez Rouges association, which supports sick hospitalized children, was imprisoned in Perpignan, according to France 3. A European arrest warrant had been issued against this Limougeaud and he was arrested in Spain, last April.

President of the Red Noses, he was sentenced on appeal to 42 months in prison for the embezzlement of 243,000 euros.
