“No colonialist country will intimidate us”: Argentina vice-president defends footballers accused of racist chants
|The vice-president of Javier Milei's government in Argentina estimated that the song sung by Argentina's players after their Copa America coronation was in no way inappropriate or racist.
The controversy continues in Argentina. Argentina's vice-president, Victoria Villaruel, has ruled that the lyrics of the chant sung by the Argentine players are simply the strict truth.
As a reminder, the recent Copa America winners had started singing the lyrics live on Instagram before cutting the live stream. "They play for France but they all come from Angola, that's good, they know how to run, they're trans like fucking Mbappé, his mother is Nigerian, his father is Cameroonian, but on the passport: French”.
"No colonialist country will intimidate us"
"Argentina is a sovereign and free country. We never had any campers or second-class citizens. We have never imposed our way of life on anyone. But we will not tolerate this being done to us either. Argentina was built with the sweat and courage of Indians, Europeans, Creoles and blacks like Remedios del Valle, Sergeant Cabral and Bernard de Monteagudo", spoke about X the stateswoman.
The right arm of Javier Milei concluded his publication with "No colonialist country will intimidate us for a song or for telling the truths that it does not doesn't want to admit. Enough of feigning indignation, hypocrites. Enzo (Fernandez), I support you, Messi, thank you for everything" concluded the vice-president.
A little earlier in the day, Argentine President Javier Milei dismissed the Undersecretary of State for Sports from his position for demanding an apology from captain Lionel Messi.
