Ranked 108th in the world at the time of his registration, the Montpellier native would normally have had to go through qualifying to enter the final draw of the tournament, if he ever won his two matches. But ultimately nothing will happen, thanks to this invitation.

This invitation makes good sense and is ultimately logical, as Cazaux has been loudly proclaiming his belonging to Montpellier for a few days in Melbourne, where he won his first Grand Slam matches.

Concerning the rest of the final draw, a few invitations remain to be distributed during the last week before the tournament at the Sud de France Arena, the organization undoubtedly taking advantage of players who have already been released in Australia to offer them one. 

If big names are still expected from Montpellier, the tournament still recorded the abandonment of the number one seed, the Italian Lorenzo Musetti ( 28th in the world) and the Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (63rd). Which means that the new No.1 seed in the tournament will, for the moment, be the Kazakh Alexander Bublik (27th), who won the first title of his career in Montpellier in 2022.
