How votes work?

Since 1997, televoting has allowed Eurovision spectators to give their vote to their favorite artist. It is now a joint vote between a professional jury and the viewers which makes it possible to decide the winner. With something new this year: viewers will be able to vote throughout the show, from the first performance, whereas previously, votes were only open for fifteen minutes, starting from the last performance. , recalls RTL.

Voting is done by SMS, by telephone or online. However, the public cannot vote for the candidate from their own country. As for the jury, it has already made its vote, since it took place this Friday, May 10 during the dress rehearsal, underlines Le Parisien. Half of the dice are therefore already cast for the candidates, and it is Natasha Saint-Pierre who will be the spokesperson for the French jury of the competition this evening.
